چکیده

The production of biodiesel has been grown effectively during the last decades. fossil diesel consumption decreasing is major purpose synthesis for economic and environmental aspects. thermal analysis biodiesel-nanoparticles blends inside batch stirred reactor investigated numerically by using COMSOL Multiphysics. present investigation focuses on Alumina gamma nanoparticles 40 nm as a heat transfer improver blend. hydrodynamic, characteristics conversion percentage have studied various agitation speeds (r), shift fluxes (Q) concentrations (fi). study results velocity, stream lines temperature contours, coefficient % plots operating conditions are obtained too. optimization design experiment function also applied parametric analysis. optimum r=350 rpm, Q=600 W/m2 fi= 1.25 %, where conversion=96

Enzymatic Alholysis For Biodiesel Production From Waste Cooking Oil

Huge efforts have been carried out in recent years in order to develop an alternative fuel from renewable resources, such as biodiesel fuel. Therefore, the use of cooking oil as raw material is a very interesting alternative for the production of biodiesel. In this work, waste frying oil was used as raw material for enzymatic biodiesel production. Moreover, this study analyzes the influence of ...

A Two-step Catalytic Production of Biodiesel from Waste Cooking Oil

Waste cooking oil (WCO) was used as a potential feedstock for biodiesel production. High levels of free fatty acids (9.85% w/w) in WCO made it an undesirable substrate for direct transesterification reaction. To solve this issue, a two-step process was implemented in this research. Firstly, esterification reaction was performed in presence of sulfuric acid as a common acid catalyst to reduce th...

Waste Cooking Oil as an Alternate Feedstock for Biodiesel Production

As crude oil price reach a new high, the need for developing alternate fuels has become acute. Alternate fuels should be economically attractive in order to compete with currently used fossil fuels. In this work, biodiesel (ethyl ester) was prepared from waste cooking oil collected from a local restaurant in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Ethyl alcohol with sodium hydroxide as a catalyst was use...

Optimized Production of Biodiesel from Waste Cooking Oil by Lipase Immobilized on Magnetic Nanoparticles

Biodiesel, a non-toxic and biodegradable fuel, has recently become a major source of renewable alternative fuels. Utilization of lipase as a biocatalyst to produce biodiesel has advantages over common alkaline catalysts such as mild reaction conditions, easy product separation, and use of waste cooking oil as raw material. In this study, Pseudomonas cepacia lipase immobilized onto magnetic nano...

Biodiesel Production from Used Cooking Oil

Production of biodiesel was involved transesterification process that implicated the reaction between used cooking oil and methanol with aid of KOH. The reaction was carried out at 15 min, 30 min, 60 min, 90 min, and 120 min to evaluate the effect of reaction time on the yield of fatty acid methyl ester (FAME). The highest yield of FAME was obtained at reaction time 60 min. Besides that, the yi...
